Story
I did not begin with the intention to photograph faces.
I began with light.
Light falling across a surface.
Light revealing form.
Light holding silence.
Over time, I became less interested in capturing expressions and more drawn to what exists beneath them. The moment before a gesture. The stillness between breaths. The quiet presence that does not ask to be seen yet is deeply felt.
My work is rooted in fine art portraiture and conceptual photography. Each image is created with intention and patience. Nothing forced. Nothing performed. I allow space for something real to emerge.
Light plays a central role in my process. Influenced by classical chiaroscuro, I use contrast not merely for drama, but to sculpt presence to reveal depth through shadow, and emotion through restraint. Darkness, in my work, is not absence. It is atmosphere.
I am not searching for perfection.
I am searching for truth.
The people I photograph are not models. They are individuals willing to slow down. To step into stillness. To be present without performance.
Photography, for me, is not about documentation.
It is about creating images that feel timeless as if they have always existed.
This is where I work.
Between light and shadow.
Between presence and silence.

We had a very pleasant and excellent experience with Peter. Definitely worth repeating.

Had a wonderful photoshoot with Peter. He captures the emotion so well in the photos that they truly speak for themselves.

“During the photoshoot with Peter, I was able to be completely myself. And that is exactly how he captured me. Beautiful photos with constantly different perspectives of who I am.”
